GBC IPS LCD Kit Dry Test
Before proceeding with dry test set up, please make sure you have reviewed our Dry Test article that has further information and requirements for this test.
When you receive a backlight/LCD kit, you should perform a dry run before installing to assure that nothing has been damaged in transit. A dry run or test fit means the kit is not installed in the shell. This includes the use of adhesives, brackets, and any performed soldering. All ribbon cables should have no bends or creases in them. If you are unsure how to perform a dry run, please contact our support team and we will be happy to help. Backlight kits that have been installed are not eligible for replacement or return.
Some IPS kits do involve soldering to test the kit for basic functionality. If so, this will be noted on the product page. If you are unsure if you need to solder to test the IPS kit, reach out to us before proceeding at support@handheldlegend.com.
If your IPS kit has touch sensor(s), make sure to test these before install and before removing the protective film/paper on the sensor adhesive.
