# 🎮 ProGCC 3+ / 3.1 / 3.2

The **ProGCC 3+**, **3.1** and **3.2** are the wireless ProGCC boards: a Pro Controller-style board with Bluetooth through an ESP32 wireless module, a battery, and ports for real consoles. All three work the same way. The **ProGCC 3.2** also comes in a **wired-only** version, without the battery and wireless module: it uses the same ProGCC 3.2 firmware, and everything on this page applies except power, pairing and the wireless module. They run HOJA firmware and are configured with [HHL Gamepad Config](https://hoja.handheldlegend.com). For the wired boards, see [ProGCC 3 / 3S](https://docs.handheldlegend.com/doc/progcc-3-3s-wired-ThRZPmjl1p).

| **Wireless** | Bluetooth (Switch, Steam, and Wii after the [wireless module update](https://docs.handheldlegend.com/doc/update-the-wireless-module-esp32-vhX2Im50kN)) |
| **Wired** | USB-C, plus GameCube, N64 and SNES/NES with a [Retro-C cable](https://docs.handheldlegend.com/doc/retro-c-cables-qPUP8WwnAg) |
| **Battery** | 1200 mAh (Pro Controller pack), rechargeable over USB-C |
| **Extras** | Gyro, rumble, RGB lighting |

## Power

* **Turn on (wireless):** hold the **right stick** in for a few seconds until the controller turns on.
* **Turn off:** hold **right stick click + Home** for 3 seconds, then let go.
* **Frozen?** Hold the **right stick** in for 15 seconds to force a restart.

## Sync button

* **Tap Sync** to turn **tournament mode** on or off. It disables the D-pad, Home, Plus, Minus and Capture, so they can't be pressed by accident in a match. The LEDs flash **green** when it turns on and **red** when it turns off.
* **Hold Sync for 3 seconds** to start Bluetooth pairing.

## Modes and pairing

Hold a button while you turn the controller on or plug it in. Full table and steps: [Modes & Pairing](https://docs.handheldlegend.com/doc/modes-pairing-hoja-controllers-H61Dy3zPjm).

## Updating

These boards have two firmwares: the controller's, and the wireless module's. Update the controller first, then the module.

* **Controller firmware:** connect to [hoja.handheldlegend.com](https://hoja.handheldlegend.com) and press **Update now** when offered. Update mode by hand: hold **L + Plus** while plugging in. See [Update Firmware](https://docs.handheldlegend.com/doc/update-firmware-hoja-controllers-KoFvPA77o1).
* **Wireless module:** from the **Wireless** page. Update mode by hand: hold **R + Plus** while plugging in (the lights pulse orange). See [Update the Wireless Module](https://docs.handheldlegend.com/doc/update-the-wireless-module-esp32-vhX2Im50kN). Afterwards, pair your Switch and other devices again once.

When installing on a blank board, pick your exact board: **ProGCC 3+**, **ProGCC 3.1** or **ProGCC 3.2**.
